Washroom Usage for Injured and Older Adults
This video from the team at Entwistle Power Occupational Therapy discusses ways to make your washroom more accessible for people that are disabled or injured, older adults, and seniors.
If you can’t easily get to your washroom, consider assisstive devices such as:
-Briefs
-A urinal or bedpan
-A commode
If you have trouble getting on or off the toilet you can use:
-A toilet-vader or higher toilet
-A versaframe, drop down bars, or a standard grab bar
-A commode that goes over the toilet seat
