The Face of 50: Sandra Bullock?

This week People magazine crowned Sandra Bullock as 2015 World’s Most Beautiful Woman. What’s more amazing about this? That Sandra Bullock is 50 (she’ll turn 51 on July 26th) and looks 20 years younger, or that she was selected over all the younger actresses out there?

People is keenly attuned to the baby boomer generation…they have to be; baby boomers have grown up with People magazine, they’re the last generation that still buys print magazines, and boomers are becoming a force in the market online as well.

In the accompanying article, Sandra Bullock had these nuggets to say about her personal aging philosophies, her anti-aging regimen, and more:

About aging on camera:  “I don’t mind aging on film, I just don’t feel beautiful.”

Advice to younger people: “I wish I could go back and tell myself to not worry so much. I wasted so much time with worry. I wish I could get it back.”

On staying in shape (she now works out 4-5 days a week to the Body by Simone fitness routine):  “When I started, I could barely do 20 seconds, and I’m not kidding. I’m crying on the floor, and she’s like, ‘Are you a smoker?’ I was like, ‘I hate you.’

About face wrinkles: “He (son Louis) asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, ‘Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.’ And he touched my face and said, ‘You’re not old, you’re just happy.’
