Spring Garden at Ste. Anne's Spa
Looking for a unique getaway this spring (or summer, fall, or winter) within a 1.5 hour drive from Toronto and the GTA? Grafton, Ontario is home to the beautiful and historical Ste. Anne’s Spa, which has been featured in Canadian Gardening (photo below).
In 1858 Samuel Massey built a large stone house on a hill overlooking the rolling countryside and Lake Ontario in the distance. Additions by subsequent owners added on turrets and gables, earning the building the nickname of the “Grafton Castle.”
Today, Ste. Anne’s Spa is an inn and health spa, ideal for people who want to relax and rejuvenate in a rural atmosphere, staying in either a cosy cottage or at the main inn. You don’t have to be 50+ or a senior to enjoy the beautiful gardens and amenities; Ste. Anne’s Spa also offers walking trails, a fitness centre, hot tub, plunge and lap pools, wellness activities such as yoga, and an equine program for horse lovers.
Ste. Anne’s Spa is located just north of Highway 401, east of Toronto, Ontario and west of Belleville, Ontario (close to nearby Cobourg and Colborne). For more information about visiting Ste. Anne’s Spa, visit their website.
