Jeanne Robertson - Grand Canyon Camping

Humorist and senior citizen Jeanne Robertson shares her funny Grand Canyon story. Thinking of going camping in your senior/retirement years?

Baby boomer Jeanne Robertson was born September 21, 1943. She grew up to be 6’2″ at age 13, became Miss North Carolina in 1963, and was named Miss Congeniality when she competed in the Miss America Pageant. She used her contest winnings to fund college, and coached and taught physical education for 8 years. Her commitment to fitness, exercise and physical activity as a senior citizen is evident in her still lean physique today in her seventies; she began training for her first marathon in her 50+ years and has since competed in several. Jeanne embarked on a career as a public speaker in 1976 and has never looked back. She writes her own material and practices her brand of comedy 20 times a year for senior motor coach travelers on bus tours.
